Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin – To Lead

Michael Lacey and Jim Larkin are pioneers of the Frontera Fund. They founded it. They affirm it.

They also maintain it. Please support it. It’s a worthy cause in the fight for human, civil and migrant rights – of which these two men share many of their thoughts below.

Have we not taken so many free benefits for granted? They think we as a society have, and as a result, these things have lost their value upon our society.

We have unknowingly placed such disastrous effects upon our young generations: They will see the worst of what these systems have had to offer and their long-term effects, if the tide does not change soon.

Contemporary educational change implies returning to the core fundamentals that America was founded upon: honesty, integrity, courtesy, decency, commitment, courage, fair markets and fair trade — among countless other golden principles.

Students today are not encouraged and challenged to seek the greater things in life, and continually get them for free whenever and wherever they want to. If this nasty trend continues, then they will simply lose interest and fail to retain perspective. Read more: Michael Larcey | Crunchbase

They will no longer understand the importance of working hard in life for the things that count and will therefore lose many character values as well, morals that are crucial to one’s greatest decision-making processes in this life.

It’s important to make educational systems and classes harder, as they once were. Straining one’s intelligence and creative capabilities, while also providing further technological support and assistance through the teacher and through tutors, is ideal.

Some of this has been implemented in America thus far, but it is still not enough. The permanent effect needs to spread to the far reaches of every state — and even the U.S.’s outlying territories — if there’s to be a permanent change anytime soon.

Without these, all may be lost indeed and to no avail: Teachers should also stop using so many iPads and tablets, which entertain the students more than educate them, and should return to the core fundamentals and basics — even teaching students to be bored at times as boredom is often a necessary evil.

Boredom teaches one patience and develop certain other characteristics, many of which lack in today’s younger generations, especially since we’re living in the microwave age, in which everything is available when you wanted and where you want it. This is certainly not good, for students have learned to be selfish and isolated in turn.

People now seek to be entertained rather than inspired and educated and have lost interest in some of the top competitive markets of today’s age as a result of laziness or an unquenchable desire for pleasures offered at no cost — all to the detrimental ruin of a desire for greater education.

Those who were brought up in this manner have a harder time learning to become academically minded later on in life, and that’s why it’s important to change the structure of the education system now. Save the future migrants.

Glenn Beck’s Erroneous Campaign Against George Soros

Stoking The Flames
Glenn Beck is one of the rising stars of conservative media. His brash commentary has garnered him a wide and loyal audience giving both his talk show and Fox News time slot high rating. There is a particularly disturbing aspect of the Beck media spectacle. He has a tendency promote conspiracy theories and an exception disdain for hedge fund manager George Soros. He paints a picture of George Soros with a thinly veiled antisemitic angle.

The Capitalist Who Hates Free Trade
One of the most peculiar traits of the Glenn Beck worldview is his opposition to free trade on Forbes. Beck is a staunch capitalist who considers communism and its historical advocates some of the worst villains in all of history. George Soros is not only a hedge fund manager but arguably the most successful hedge fund manager in the world. The idea that a man of enormous wealth such as Soros would oppose capitalism simply does not add up, but that doesn’t stop Beck from framing him as a communist subverter. For evidence of this assertion Beck cites examples of revolutions in eastern Europe Soros has provided assistance. The Orange revolution, the Rose revolution, and others of this nature were favored by Soros but Beck ignores a key fact about these events. All of these revolutions were capitalistic movements of the sort Glenn Beck claims he supports. Beck sees these efforts by Soros as indicators of his plans to disrupt America.

Modernizing Blood Libel
One of the most scathing sources of antisemitism is the notion that Jews are secretly involved in heinous acts of violence. With his accusations that Soros was a Nazi collaborator he is reviving old and ugly blood libels against Jews. Beck claims that while still a teenager Soros helped the Nazis send Jews to their untimely deaths. Although this bizarre claim is exceptionally inflammatory it is only a small portion of his overall attack on Soros.

The Most Serious Jester
Glenn Beck’s exceptionally nasty rhetoric is often dismissed as humor or hyperbole. Reading between the lines shows there is exploitation of a very naive audience. It may seem easy to dismiss the idea that Glenn Beck surely sees Soros as the ultimate force of evil, but his rhetoric is taken seriously by significant portions of the American public. There are white nationalists seeking to mainstream their movements by attaching themselves to opposition to globalization. The attacks leveled against George Soros may allow them to do just that.
