Jose Auriemo Neto continues dramatically expanding JHSF portfolio

Over the last three decades, JHSF Participacaoes has become the preeminent real estate development firm in the country of Brazil. Having developed tens of millions of square feet of some of the most sought-after and luxurious real estate space in the country, the firm has made a name for itself, becoming the undisputed king of luxury real estate development in the country.

Most of this is attributable to the skillful leadership of one man, JHSF Participacaoes CEO, Jose Auriemo Neto. After taking over the helm of the company from his father, JHSF Participacaoes founder, Fabio Auriemo, Auriemo Neto has continued expanding the firm’s activities and its portfolio, building it into the largest and most important real estate development firm and property management company in the country. This has been due to Auriemo Neto’s uncanny ability to select the best prospects for both development and acquisition.

The 2014 acquisition of the entire Fasano hotel chain, for $18 million, is an example of one such deal. The acquisition represented the second time that the firm has dabbled in the luxury hotel business. It had previously gained a great deal of experience through the management and construction of Hotel Transmerica, one of the premier hotels along the beach in Sao Paulo.

But with the acquisition of the Fasano hotel chain, JHSF Participacaoes quickly became one of the leading operators of luxury hotels in the country. However, José Auriemo Neto has not limited himself or his firm to the acquisition and management of luxury hotels. In one of the more ambitious projects ever undertaken by any development firm in the country of Brazil, in 2004, Auriemo Neto began construction of the gigantic Parque Cidade Jardim project. The sprawling complex includes nine luxury condominium towers, for Class A office space towers and the largest luxury shopping mall in Brazil. In total, the complex has millions of square feet of some of the most sought-after residential, commercial and shopping property in the country. This is all part of a concerted plan to continue building out the greater Sao Paulo area with world-class property developments in an effort to attract the wealthy and powerful from across the globe.
